Manomio, one of the leading developers for porting classic titles to the iOS, is making the iPhone and iPad a hub for classic games. Manomio latest gift to iOS gamers is the classic Defender Of The Crown, this title was originally released in 1986 on the Commodore Amiga by Cinemaware.

The game is set in 1149, after the king’s assassination and no heir to the throne, leaving England in utter chaos. Encouraged by Robin of Locksley, you assemble a Saxon army and set off to defeat your Norman rivals and conquer the land.

Cinemaware gave you four characters to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. The title also varies up the gameplay with different events to try and keep the game fresh. which is interesting considering the title is 25 years old. You can choose to conquer a kingdom, raid an enemy’s castle, build up your army, or scout enemy territories for a future attack, or event hold a jousting tournament.
